However, this week I was able to catch up with a few friends who I haven't been able to spend much time with in a while. And, let me tell you, it was so refreshing!
One of my conversations started out with a theology discussion. Before we talked about me or her, we talked about the Lord, His love for His people, and the implications of His love. How cool is that? Forget the fake small talk; let's talk about Christ! I love my friends and how how the Lord provides us with a relationship that increases our walks with the Him.
We also had the opportunity to talk about struggles, frustrations, and worries we are going through right now. Life is tough sometimes and it's nice to know that through our friendships we have a support system that is always available!
"A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
It's so nice to meet up with my friends and pick up right where we left off no matter the amount of time it's been since we last saw each other! I love making new friends and the encouragement that they are to me! However, I will forever cherish the friends I have had since middle and high school and the memories we share together.
"We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over." ~Samuel Johnson
Just a few of these friends that I am so thankful for...
